Chatr is excited to introduce Gavin Shaun Lyall who recently completed his Masters of Social Work and is a proud member of the Nunatsiavut Inuit Nation. Gavin’s passion for supporting others, combined with his extensive experience in community-controlled health and well-being, makes him an invaluable asset to our team. His diverse cultural background and commitment to equity and healing are at the heart of everything he does.

“I am Gavin Lyall, a proud Inuk Canadian and Danish family man. I’m a member of the Nunatsiavut Inuit Nation in Labrador, Canada, and a Danish and Australian citizen. I currently call South-East Queensland home and live with my little family in the bush outside of Brisbane. I speak English, Danish and a bit of Aussiestralian, mate.

I’m a social worker with 20 years’ experience working in the human services, from aged care, childcare and child protection to youth work, homelessness, disability, and First Nations community-controlled health and wellbeing.

I am passionate about social justice, community development, socio-economic equity, First Nations sovereignty, and supporting others on their personal journeys seeking healing, connection, and fulfillment.“
