National Reconciliation Week 2024: Now More Than Ever

This year’s theme, "Now More Than Ever," is a powerful reminder that the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is ongoing and essential.

Australia's reconciliation journey has seen many challenging moments, but it's crucial that we don't turn away or disconnect during divisive times.

The 6.2 million Australians who voted YES have shown their commitment to better outcomes for First Nations people. Now more than ever, we must continue this work by:

- Defending and upholding the rights of First Nations peoples.
- Calling out racism wherever we encounter it.
- Amplifying the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Our efforts must continue in treaty making, truth-telling, understanding our history, education, and combating racism. We need connection, respect, action, and change.

Now more than ever, we need reconciliation.
